Sarah Lane-Pilukaitis
Sarah Pilukaitis is the current Head Dance Director of the Allen High School Tallenettes and Dance Department. Before moving to the Dallas area, Sarah lived in Austin where she directed the award-winning Anderson High School Trojan Belles dance team. She actually started her career nearby as the JV director at South Garland High School. Prior to that, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dance degree with secondary teacher certification at Texas Woman’s University having studied teaching, choreography, and dance including modern, contemporary, improvisation, ballet, and jazz, and tap.
Her passion for dance started early in life and led her from being a high school drill team officer to ultimately becoming a lieutenant in the world famous Kilgore College Rangerettes and leader of the Swingsters dance group. She performed in an assortment of arenas include the Crystal Charity Ball in Dallas, Dallas Cowboys Football game, parades in Chicago and New York, and the annual Rangerette Revels spring show. Sarah had the privilege to serve on the Association Dance Educators Assessment of Learning panel, to be a member of Out on a Limb modern dance company, and to perform with Defiance dance company for one year.
