Lisa Fortenberry

Lisa Fortenberry is formerly the vice-president and CFO of Mike Miller and Associates – Special Events. For 22 years she oversaw the day-to-day operations of MMA; completing all planning and logistics for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, and managing all collegiate participation in the AT&T Cotton Bowl.

Originally from Garland, Lisa was a Rangerette (1983-85), and holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of North Texas (1989).

Lisa taught for NCA Superstar (1984-93) and served as the co-director of the Rangerette summer camp for elementary and middle school students for many years. She is a lifetime member of Rangerettes Forever having served on the Board in numerous capacities. She is the 2017 recipient of the TDEA Service Award for outstanding leadership, dedication and service to the dance/drill team industry.  

Lisa brings volunteering and contributing to a new level. Her tireless efforts, both physical and financial, are seen in her involvement as a foster parent, and at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. She is a known and welcome face in the Rangerette organization, both as a board member for Rangerettes Forever, and as the active organization’s team builder and motivational speaker.

Shelley Wayne

Shelley Wayne is the assistant director and choreographer of the Kilgore College Rangerettes. 

As a member of the Rangerettes (1985-87), Shelley was both a Rangerette Lieutenant and Swingster. Originally from Houston, she holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science from Southwest Texas State University (1991), and a M.Ed. from the University of Texas at Tyler (2000). 

Shelley is a former director of the Westfield High School Lariettes who began teaching at Kilgore College in 1993 as assistant director and choreographer to Dana Blair. She also teaches dance in the KC Fine Arts Department. 

Shelley taught for NCA Superstar (1985-93) and Starmakers Dance and Performance Camps (1994-2003). She is the co-director of the Rangerette summer camp for high school students, and a lifetime member of Rangerettes Forever Forever. She is a 2014 recipient of TDEA’s Lifetime Achievement Award and most recently elected to the TDEA Hall of Fame. 

Known industry-wide, and sought out for her innovative and original choreography, Shelley brings artistry and flair to field production material.
