Jennifer is originally from Austin, Texas where she began her dance career at the age of three.

After 15 years of dance training in the studio and serving as a James Bowie high school Silver Stars First Lieutenant, she attended Kilgore College as a member of the world-famous Rangerettes.

At Kilgore she served as Head Swingster (specialty jazz company) and as a Rangerette Lieutenant.
As a Rangerette, she performed at the Fiesta Bowl Parade in Tempe, Arizona, at the Carnival in Nice, France, the Miss Texas Pageant, and at the Governor’s Ball for then Governor George W. Bush.

Upon completion of her studies at Kilgore, Jennifer attended and graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Science in Dance Management.
At OCU, she was selected by her instructors to choreograph for the OCU Pep Dancers. She volunteered for several local arts organizations and was the co-creator of the non-profit dance company Dance Diversity.

Jennifer Dawson

Jennifer trained throughout Texas and Oklahoma as well as in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
She has performed globally, instructed for Starmakers Dance and Performance Camps, choreographed for many Texas and Oklahoma dance teams, served on staff at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, and was named Who’s Who among teachers. 

Currently Jennifer is the Director for the award winning James Bowie High School Silver Stars in Austin, Texas.

She is proud to serve as an Instructor and Leadership Workshop Presenter for Encore Creative Productions.

She also serves on the Advisory Board at Bowie High School, the Board of Directors for Rangerettes Forever, and is Parliamentarian for the Texas Dance Educators Association.

Jennifer is blessed to share her life with her husband Mark and their daughter Sophia.
